CHM Lighting fixed systems have been designed to ensure customers in every market segment have access to complete lighting solutions that ensure safe, reliable operation for decades. Fixed solutions come in two main families of product: Tubular Cross Arm Remote Driver (TCR) and Tubular Platform Integral Driver (TCI). CHM Lighting is unique in the market as one of the only suppliers to offer our customers the choice of either remote or integral driver solutions.
The TCR (remote) system is designed to put the components you expect to service at the base of the tower to facilitate easy troubleshooting and repair, without the need for expensive and large heavy equipment. At a typical height of 10’ to 15’ above the base, the Remote Driver Enclosures (RDE for short) are accessed with a simple ladder to service critical components like the driver, fuses, wireless controls, and surge protection.
Due to the simple serviceability of the drive and control gear, the actual luminaries are mounted to the top of the tower on cross arms to reduce structural loading on the tower and reduce cost. Specify the TCR system to keep initial cost down and minimize long term maintenance keeping in mind that heavy equipment will still be required if the luminaires need service or adjustment.
The TCI (integral) system is designed to eliminate the need for heavy equipment access to the project site throughout the life of the system, even in the event of need to service or adjust the luminaires. Each tower is provided with climbing steps, safety cable and service platforms to allow certified climbers access to the luminaires, drivers, and wireless controls
without the need for lifts, cranes or other heavy equipment. Specify the TCI system in areas where access to towers is limited with heavy equipment and for clients that want to eliminate the need to every require heavy equipment to service the towers over the life of the system.
